Deadfellaz NFTs push Wrangler jeans into Web3 with new partnership

The American denim fashion brand Wrangler is collaborating with Deadfellaz, a premium NFT series. The collaboration was announced earlier in the week through a tweet from Deadfellaz, that was then reposted by Wrangler Jean’s official account.

To kick off the partnership, Deadfellaz also announced that they will be hosting a competition. The competition allows Deadfellaz owners and fans to collaborate for the chance to win digital and physical prizes. No details on the prizes have been released, but it’s safe to assume that a pair of Wrangler jeans will also be in the mix.

Deadfellaz is a series of 10,000 “undead” NFTs on the ETH blockchain. The gender-neutral NFT project released in August 2021, and has since gained popularity among NFT fans, consisting of renowned celebrities like Gary Vee– who has at least one NFT from the series. At the time of writing, the floor price of a Deadfellaz NFT on OpenSea is 0.65 ETH, or about $1100.

Wrangler’s move to cooperate with Deadfellaz is not the brand’s initial access into the NFT world. Previously in the year, Wrangler released its initial NFT series named “Mr. Wrangler.” This project was released on the NFT LTD.INC marketplace thanks to Grammy Award-winning musician Leon Bridges.

Fashion brands are embracing Web3 big time

Here are some of the important titles about fashion brands in Web3:

• Bloomingdale’s is opening metaverse store for New York Fashion Week
• Puma creates ‘Black Station’ metaverse experience for NYFW
• Luxury Brand Hermès Files Web3 Trademark Application
• Dior launches 2022 men’s fashion on Baidu metaverse
• Prada released third installment of Time Capsule NFT
• Old Navy collaborates with BAYC to design T-shirts
• Gucci opens a Metaverse experience on Roblox

As NFT technology welcomed virtual fashion and the metaverse provides a space for avatars to show off their digital gear, fashion brands will increasingly embrace Web3 technologies over time and the technologies are proving to be here to remain.

It will take time to see what kind of projects Deadfellaz and Wrangler create from their new collaboration. But for those who have been following Web3 news, another cooperation from a traditional fashion brand with the growing NFT series is not that surprising.
