NounsDAO accepts proposal for feature-length NFT movie

The autonomous decentralized organization will move forward with its plans to produce an animated film featuring its well-known 8-bit NFT characters.

NounsDAO, a Web3 community, has authorized the production of a feature-length animated film featuring some of its well-known non-fungible token (NFT) characters.

The proposal collaborates with Atrium, a network of independent Web3 artists and creators, to “continuously produce a series of episodic content through successive proposals.” According to Atrium, “Nouns: A Movie” will be produced in a series of story acts that, when combined, will “form the first feature-length cinematic content introducing Nouns to the world.”

This is a first for the NFT industry; no other truly decentralized organizations have committed to producing such high-quality features. According to a press release from Atrium. Atrium creatives William Yu, HKJay, Zen Doubt, 3DPrint Guy, and Meta Ent will assist with the writing, production, and animation of the film.

The spending limit for the initial installment has been set at $125,000. According to the proposal, the pilot will be made public within 90 days, at which point the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) will decide whether to continue funding the project. Members of Nouns will be able to submit episode plot arcs and episode ideas.

A previous NounsDAO proposal supported a recent short film made by 3DPrintGuy of Atrium. The main characters of the short were made available as collectible NFTs.

Recently, the NounsDAO community endorsed additional artistic endeavors in order to expand its ecosystem. The group decided last month to develop a comic book series in collaboration with comic book publisher Titan Comics and NFT community ComicsDAO. Thanks to a collaboration with NounsDAO, OnCyber, and Vayner Sports Pass, the second ArtBall NFT collection from the Australian Open tennis tournament will be released in December.
