Twisted Tea is releasing NFTs to put your face on 100 M cans

Another big American brand is entering the Web3 train. Twisted Tea, the nation’s #1 iced tea company, is partnering with Web3 platform Sesame3, to release its initial NFTs project.

And here is the kicker: The initial NFT will be given away to a superfan who will have their face posted on the label of 100 million Twisted Tea cans. In addition, the NFTs can be traded, purchased, and sold with usual payment ways without crypto wallets, making the NFT series available to everyone.

To have an opportunity to have your face posted on 100 M cans of hard iced tea, fans can upload a photo of themselves on the company’s website and explain why they should win. The winner will be selected on August 3rd.

Plus being featured on up to 100 million Twisted Tea cans, the winner can bid on their NFT on Sesame3’s Web3 platform to the highest bidder too, who will after that have the chance to have their photo printed on a select No of cans.

This is not the initial time that Twisted Tea has put images of the faces of its fans on the labels of its drinks. They started doing this in 2007, and claim to get 1,000 picture submissions every month.

Erica Taylor, the brand manager of Twisted Tea, stated that the company was thrilled to cooperate with Sesame3 to invest in Web3 and promote their brand in a “whole new space.”

Beverage brands enter Web3

Twisted Tea’s NFT series is undoubtedly one of the most original Web3 projects we have known. Nevertheless, the hard tea brand is not the only beverage company that has made inroads into NFTs.

It has been reporting year-round on beverage brands using NFTs, blockchain technology, and the metaverse to extend their influence and have new customers. Here are some of the latest titles:

• Coca-Cola released a series of pride-related NFTs
• Gatorade plans to create a “virtual beverage” for Metaverse
• Tiger Beer Malaysia launched a series of NFTs
• Goslings Rum files Web3 Patent for the “Dark ‘n Stormy”
• Whiskey Brand Crown Royal files patent for NFTs
• Starbucks will step into the Metaverse and NFT world in 2022.

As you see, there are numerous things occurring in the Web3 space when regarding beverage brands. Time will show if Twisted Tea’s exclusive NFT drop will be a success. But for one lucky fan, it sounds like it will be an ideal way to have their face out in the world.
