Wemade partners with Space and Time to expand its gaming services with interesting features.

It seeks to launch a more complex earning scheme for its P2E games.

Wemade Co., Ltd, a pioneering game developer and one of the largest publicly listed companies in South Korea has announced a partnership with Space and Time, the first Web3 decentralized data warehouse. According to the report, Wemade would have its blockchain and gaming services powered by Space and Time’s decentralized suite of developer tools. Wemade offers over 20 different play to earn services on its blockchain open platform WEMIX PLAY. It is reported that this is part of the huge ecosystem its blockchain developer subsidiary WEMIX is building. This includes WEMIX 3.0, services like NFTs and DeFi, as well as the bridge that links all the components of the mega-ecosystem, WEMIX coin.

WEMIX CEO Shane Kim commented:

We believe that blockchain is the future of gaming, offering gamers greater ownership and control over their digital assets. As the blockchain transformation of traditional games continues to grow, the partnership with Space and Time will help strengthen our blockchain infrastructure capabilities and contribute to our commitment to building an inter-game economy.

WEMIX has stated that it seeks to improve on scalability while ensuring that privacy and security are assured. As part of this, it announced plans to release Ethereum layer-2 utilizing zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) protocols.

Space and Time were chosen for this partnership as its platform offers developers “real-time, tamperproof indexed blockchain data, a hybrid transactional and analytic (HTAP) data warehouse, and a serverless API gateway for the simplified building of fully decentralized applications and faster dApp time-to-market.”

Space and Time to revolutionize Wemade gaming services

It is important to note that Space and Time have verifiably tamper-proof queries running in its data warehouse. Its novel cryptography, Proof of SQL, also allows smart contracts to run tamper-proof queries directly.

Nate Holiday, CEO and Co-Founder of Space and Time commented:

We’re thrilled to partner with one of the biggest and most respected gaming companies in the world. Space and Time are committed to advancing the blockchain gaming industry with essential next-generation infrastructure and developer tools. This partnership is a huge step forward for the Web3 gaming industry. Together, Wemade and Space and Time are building a new blockchain gaming ecosystem to onboard the next wave of game developers.

Wemade has a market capitalization of US$1.4 billion and is known for its “The Legend of Mir 2 title. This is said to be a very successful RPG title in the history of Chinese gaming. The Legend of Mir 2 had about 64 percent market shares in the Chinese gaming market. The platform also has support for DEXs, NFT marketplaces, etc. Its objective has been to expand its blockchain ecosystem beyond gaming. Developers building on the GameFi, DeFi, and other Web3 applications would have the chance of getting more secure and decentralized services. With Space and Time, Wemade would be able to come up with more complex earning schemes for its P2E games and also reduce on-chain storage costs.
